Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.
As with many first verses, this one sets the stage for Paul, rather than immediately discussing what Paul was saying or doing. In this case, yet another person is coming to judge Paul by the rules of man.
Knowing Paul, I can guess the outcome, in that he will defend himself based on the fact that he was doing God's will.
Do I have a similar confidence that what I am doing is God's will for me?
