I always assume it means to give up time or money or something precious.
What it means is giving up the awful things that are holding me back - fear, anger, and sadness - and choosing to be willing to let Him replace them with peace.
Sometimes I'm reluctant because I feel like they're protecting me from something worse.
In truth, they're protecting me from something better.
Because of the trial, I came closer to my Savior, and I knew Him better.
I was better for it.
Being like Him means always being forward thinking and never being emotionally hijacked.
Benevolence is vicarious joy. The pleasure of it is imagining how good my kindness will make someone else feel, and letting that feeling of control over my existence energize me

Peace is often required
That's why peace is what He offers for the asking.
