That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
The spirit (small s), the essence, the root of wisdom and revelation is questions. Getting my questions answered is how I am endowed with power and KNOWLEDGE. When I have knowledge, I no longer have to rely on mere faith. Having knowledge makes me more like God, because he has all knowledge.
That's why it was the name of the fruit that transformed Man in the Garden.
