Scriptures As Tools of Reflection

The reason scriptures work as tools of reflection and typical large works of fiction don't is that scriptures contain hundreds of characters of varying degrees of good and bad actions, and at one time or another, I am all of them. This allows scriptures to be relatable and useful to me no matter who I am at the time I'm reading them.
