Not Distressed, Not in Despair

From Jeffrey R. Holland's October 1995 "This Do in Remembrance of Me":

"...we can remember that Christ was also troubled on every side, but not distressed; perplexed, but not in despair..."

A reminder for when I am feeling distressed and despairing.

I wanted to be encouraged when I read this, but it was hard. He was not discouraged because He had knowledge. All I have is hope.

But I can focus on what I do know, from my own experience and the testimony of the Holy Ghost. This will be the basis of empowering beliefs that will make it possible for me to move forward in faith even without knowledge.
