I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
In my life I will live in a variety of conditions. In all conditions, the way to respond to circumstances is the same - by seeking to become more like Him and do what He would do.
The alternative is to default to shoetop vision and do what is more comfortable, rather than what will be most helpful long-term.
