Acts 2:24

Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

The one who has power over death itself loves me. I should not fear.

Daily Ponderings: All Continued With One Accord

Acts 1:14

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

I should seek for peace and harmony in my relations with others.

Less Time Together

I should seek out my family so that I can feel loved.

John 21:13

I should look to Him to give me the spiritual nourishment I need.

I should hear His voice and turn to Him.

I should never be afraid to write the truth as I understand it.

John 18:21

Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.

If I listen to His voice, I will know what He said, and then I should do it.

John 17:14

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

I should be kinder than is necessary.

Daily Ponderings: What Is This That He Saith Unto Us?

John 16:17

Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

If I have a question, I can ask Him and I can get answers.

Daily Ponderings: Do Whatsoever I Command

John 15:14

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

He gives me promptings so that I can be happy if I follow them. I should follow them.

Daily Ponderings: He Shall Give You Another Comforter

John 14:16

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

The Holy Ghost will always comfort me when I ask. The adversary will try to make me afraid to ask. I should embrace the fear and ask anyway.

Daily Ponderings: Receiveth Whomsoever I Send

John 13:20

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Everyone is sent to me for a reason. I should find out that reason and use the encounter to make progress.

John 12:43

For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

I should count God's praise, even though it is private and silent.

John 12:36

While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

I should try to be a child of light with His frequent help.

John 12:26

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

I really don't have to be alone. I can ask for His help any time, even if I don't think it will do any good.

When I get a prompting, I should act on it sooner rather than later.

If I invite Him to be near me, I will be fine.

John 10:22

And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

When I feel cold and dark, that is the time I most need to seek His companionship and counsel.

I can testify of the truths I know.

The scriptures are full of empowering beliefs. I should embrace them.

I know the truth when I hear it. I should embrace it.

Daily Ponderings: My Judgment Is Just Because I Seek the Will of the Father

John 5:30

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

I should measure everything by the standard of truth, with usefulness being the proof of it.

John 5:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

There are many empowering beliefs in the scriptures. I should embrace them.

John 4:50

Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

I should embrace empowering beliefs.

Daily Ponderings: For We Have Heard Him Ourselves

John 4:42

And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

I should experiment and gain my own testimony.

The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

When the prompting strikes, I should immediately follow it.

The Fulness of God

Ephesians 3:16-21

15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Use His transformational power to feel the courage to act in the face of fear...

I can have the empowering belief that I am able to speak the truth...

That I can feel safe doing this because I know I am loved and He won't hurt me or let anything bad happen to me...

That there is no place I can be where this love and safety cannot reach...

I cannot even imagine a place where this love cannot reach...

The fulness of God is Him knowing the truth of everything, and He will answer my questions about anything I ask. There is nothing about which truth may be known that I can't discover from His vast knowledge. Although I can't know everything, I can know anything...

He can and will give me all that I ask for and more...

Because He is the source of transformational power, and He loves me.

Daily Ponderings: The Light Is Come Into the World

John 3:19

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

I should at all times look toward the light.

His works and lessons surround me daily. I should learn from them, too, and not just the scriptures.

I should liken all things I read in the scriptures to myself.

I shall have hard times. The scriptures will prepare me for them and He will strengthen me through them.

Growing in Kindness

Though easily forgotten, kindness includes, first and foremost, kindness to myself. I haven't been kind to myself lately.

Fulness = Insight

The "fulness of the gospel" means extra-scriptural insight into the meaning of the gospel.

Of whom we bear record; and the record which we bear is the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, who is the Son, whom we saw and with whom we conversed in the heavenly vision.

Luke 21:20

And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

I should act to dispel my problems before they surround me.

To know what to do, if I look at what's around me, He will be able to tell me what's important and what to let go.

I should look at the blessings enjoyed by others with admiration, not envy.

The blessings will come to me now, in this lifetime.

With the strength He gives me, I should take action and bless the lives of others.
