I can try to get things done instead of preemptively quitting.

I should listen for His voice, and do as He invites.

Daily Ponderings: It Shall Be Given Thee

D&C 25:11

And it shall be given thee, also, to make a selection of sacred hymns, as it shall be given thee, which is pleasing unto me, to be had in my church.

He will give me the gifts I need if I ask.

This I Know: Possible

It is possible to set aside fear, anger, and sadness.

Daily Ponderings: That I May Send My Servant

D&C 25:6

And thou shalt go with him at the time of his going, and be unto him for a scribe, while there is no one to be a scribe for him, that I may send my servant, Oliver Cowdery, whithersoever I will.

I can listen for His guidance.

This I Know: Take Care

I can take time to take care of my family.

Daily Ponderings: Thou Art Called

D&C 24:19

For thou art called to prune my vineyard with a mighty pruning, yea, even for the last time; yea, and also all those whom thou hast ordained, and they shall do even according to this pattern. Amen.

He has a good work for me to do, and He will help me do it if I ask.

This I Know: Softness

I can be soft instead of hard and brittle.

Daily Ponderings: Except I Shall Command You

D&C 24:13

Require not miracles, except I shall command you, except casting out devils, healing the sick, and against poisonous serpents, and against deadly poisons;

I can do what I want, but I should listen for countermanding orders, and do them when they come.

This I Know: Patience

Things will work out in time.

For thou shalt devote all thy service in Zion; and in this thou shalt have strength.

He can strengthen me to do hard things if I ask for His help.

I need to have a still place inside of me that I can enter even amidst external chaos. A center of peace. A Holy of Holies that can't be touched.

There is time enough to do what needs doing.
