Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work;

When I decide what I want, and ask for His help, He will give it to me.

I can make progress even when I'm tired.

Daily Ponderings: Come to the Knowledge

D&C 3:20

And that the Lamanites might come to the knowledge of their fathers, and that they might know the promises of the Lord, and that they may believe the gospel and rely upon the merits of Jesus Christ, and be glorified through faith in his name, and that through their repentance they might be saved. Amen.

If I need to know how to do something, He can help me.

This I Know: Enjoy

I can take time to enjoy the things around me.

Daily Ponderings: Promises Which Were Made

D&C 3:13

Who has set at naught the counsels of God, and has broken the most sacred promises which were made before God, and has depended upon his own judgment and boasted in his own wisdom.

I can keep the promises I make. He can help me know how if I ask.

This I Know: Thankful

Even in hard times, there are things I can be thankful for.

For, behold, you should not have feared man more than God. Although men set at naught the counsels of God, and despise his words

I should listen for promptings and do them

This I Know: Asking

I can have what I want if I ask.

Daily Ponderings: Plant in the Hearts

D&C 2:2

And he shall plant in the hearts of the children the promises made to the fathers, and the hearts of the children shall turn to their fathers.

I should fill my heart with empowering beliefs. He can help me do this if I ask.

This I Know: Keep Trying

Items on my list will be done, even if the timing isn't what I wish

Daily Ponderings: I Will Reveal Unto You

D&C 2:1

Behold, I will reveal unto you the Priesthood, by the hand of Elijah the prophet, before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

If there's something I need to know, I can ask, and He will help me.

This I Know: Try Again

I can always try again.

Daily Ponderings: That They Might Repent

D&C 1:27

And inasmuch as they sinned they might be chastened, that they might repent;

There is a better way to go forward. He can help me find it if I ask.

This I Know: Peace

I can make peace.

Daily Ponderings: Hear the Voice of the Lord

D&C 1:14

And the arm of the Lord shall be revealed; and the day cometh that they who will not hear the voice of the Lord, neither the voice of his servants, neither give heed to the words of the prophets and apostles, shall be cut off from among the people;

If I ask, He will answer, and I should do.

This I Know: Enjoy

I can choose to enjoy whatever situation I'm in.

Daily Ponderings: Hearken

D&C 1:1

Hearken, O ye people of my church, saith the voice of him who dwells on high, and whose eyes are upon all men; yea, verily I say: Hearken ye people from afar; and ye that are upon the islands of the sea, listen together.

I should listen for revelation - the answers to the questions I ask.

This I Know: Press Forward

I can find the strength and peace to make progress.

Daily Ponderings: In the Paradise of God

Moroni 10:34

And now I bid unto all, farewell. I soon go to rest in the paradise of God, until my spirit and body shall again reunite, and I am brought forth triumphant through the air, to meet you before the pleasing bar of the great Jehovah, the Eternal Judge of both quick and dead. Amen.

He can help me enjoy my life if I seek His peace.

This I Know: Close

I can hold peace close to me at all times. It's harder when I'm struggling, but the more mindful I am of my need for it, the easier it will be.

Daily Ponderings: Ye Can Do All Things

Moroni 10:23

And Christ truly said unto our fathers: If ye have faith ye can do all things which are expedient unto me.

He can help me. It starts by asking Him for peace.

This I Know: Lifting

Better to lift for my family, than to lift just to lift.

Daily Ponderings: He May Work

Moroni 10:12

And again, to another, that he may work mighty miracles;

Inasmuch as I make effort, He will bless me.

This I Know: Enjoy

I can enjoy moments as they happen

Daily Ponderings: The Grace of God

Moroni 9:26

And may the grace of God the Father, whose throne is high in the heavens, and our Lord Jesus Christ, who sitteth on the right hand of his power, until all things shall become subject unto him, be, and abide with you forever. Amen.

I can receive divine help that I didn't earn, if I ask for it.

This I Know: Ask for Better

I can get what I really want if I ask. And I can start by asking myself.

Moroni 9:19

And they have become strong in their perversion; and they are alike brutal, sparing none, neither old nor young; and they delight in everything save that which is good; and the suffering of our women and our children upon all the face of this land doth exceed everything; yea, tongue cannot tell, neither can it be written.

I should delight in that which is good.

This I Know: Connection

I can take the time to connect with my wife because it's my best investment.

Daily Ponderings: Exceed That of Our People

Moroni 9:9

And notwithstanding this great abomination of the Lamanites, it doth not exceed that of our people in Moriantum. For behold, many of the daughters of the Lamanites have they taken prisoners; and after depriving them of that which was most dear and precious above all things, which is chastity and virtue

I can strive to be even kinder than those around me. He can help me know how if I ask.

This I Know: Gentle

Daily Ponderings: I Shall Write

Moroni 8:30

Farewell, my son, until I shall write unto you, or shall meet you again. Amen.

I should write things to myself which hold empowering beliefs. He can help me know what to write if I ask.

This I Know: Time

There is always enough time, because there has to be.

Daily Ponderings: Listen unto Them and Give Heed

Moroni 8:21

Wo unto such, for they are in danger of death, hell, and an endless torment. I speak it boldly; God hath commanded me. Listen unto them and give heed, or they stand against you at the judgment-seat of Christ.

I should seek counsel from the Spirit and do it.

This I Know: Let It Go

Angry thoughts can be let go.

Daily Ponderings: Unto Repentance

Moroni 8:11

And their little children need no repentance, neither baptism. Behold, baptism is unto repentance to the fulfilling the commandments unto the remission of sins.

I can change for the better. He can help me if I ask.

Where They Are

Meet them where they are. Finding common ground is the antidote to conflict.

Praying for Progress

Love others where they're at. Pray that they can come someplace even better.

I should love and pray for me similarly.

This I Know: Peace for the Asking

I can feel peace in hard situations.

Daily Ponderings: We Shall Be Like Him

Moroni 7:48

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen.

I can try to be like Him. He will help me if I ask.

Daily Ponderings: Power to Do

Moroni 7:33

And Christ hath said: If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me.

I need power to make progress. He can help me if I ask

This I Know: Enough

Having a long to-do list doesn't mean I haven't made progress. Both those things are true.

Daily Ponderings: Know With a Perfect Knowledge

Moroni 7:17

But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil; for after this manner doth the devil work, for he persuadeth no man to do good, no, not one; neither do his angels; neither do they who subject themselves unto him.

If I'm not sure, I can pray and ask.

This I Know: Progress

Even though I gave up something I wanted to do, I still get credit for progress on the things I did instead.

Daily Ponderings: If He Follow Christ, He Cannot Be a Servant of the Devil

Moroni 7:11

For behold, a bitter fountain cannot bring forth good water; neither can a good fountain bring forth bitter water; wherefore, a man being a servant of the devil cannot follow Christ; and if he follow Christ he cannot be a servant of the devil.

I can only walk one direction at a time.

This I Know: Self-Care

I can take the time to do the things for myself that I need. I can also ask for help.

Daily Ponderings: Be No Iniquity Among Them

Moroni 6:7

And they were strict to observe that there should be no iniquity among them; and whoso was found to commit iniquity, and three witnesses of the church did condemn them before the elders, and if they repented not, and confessed not, their names were blotted out, and they were not numbered among the people of Christ.

I should be kind to those in pain.

This I Know: Grateful

I can be grateful every day for the good things in my life.

Daily Ponderings: Cleansed by the Power of the Holy Ghost

Moroni 6:4

And after they had been received unto baptism, and were wrought upon and cleansed by the power of the Holy Ghost, they were numbered among the people of the church of Christ; and their names were taken, that they might be remembered and nourished by the good word of God, to keep them in the right way, to keep them continually watchful unto prayer, relying alone upon the merits of Christ, who was the author and the finisher of their faith.

I should remember that I always have access to the power to change if I ask for it.

This I Know: Forward

Even when I feel uncomfortable, I can move forward.

Daily Ponderings: Do Always Remember Him

Moroni 5:2

O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee, in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this wine to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.

Every twinge of anger is a sign I need to turn to Him.

This I Know: Peace

I don't have to do anything to earn peace. There are no prerequisites. I just have to let it in.

Daily Ponderings: Took the Cup

Moroni 5:1

The manner of administering the wine—Behold, they took the cup, and said:

I should accept whatever thing He offers me and reframe it, if necessary, until I can count it as good.

This I Know: Supporting

I should support my family. Everything else is optional.

Daily Ponderings: Always Remember Him

Moroni 4:3

O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it; that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he hath given them, that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.

Any time I'm not deliberately ignoring Him counts as remembering Him. He wants to give me credit for what I do. The adversary wants me to focus on shortcomings. God wants me to have peace and happiness, and joy. The adversary just wants me to feel misery, because misery is the beginning of separation. It means I have to turn somewhere to fill my lack, and it will be either to Him or to the world.

This I Know: Connecting

It's always good to connect with family.

Daily Ponderings: Pray to the Father

Moroni 4:2

And they did kneel down with the church, and pray to the Father in the name of Christ, saying:

I should ask Him for what I want.

This I Know: Orderly

There's enough time to keep my life orderly.
