Moroni 3:4

And after this manner did they ordain priests and teachers, according to the gifts and callings of God unto men; and they ordained them by the power of the Holy Ghost, which was in them.

He will help me know how to do my calling if I ask.

Daily Ponderings: Wherefore We Know

Moroni 4:1

The manner of their elders and priests administering the flesh and blood of Christ unto the church; and they administered it according to the commandments of Christ; wherefore we know the manner to be true; and the elder or priest did minister it

I should remeber the things that have happened to me and use them to empower me.

Time

If I try, there is time.

Moroni 3:3

In the name of Jesus Christ I ordain you to be a priest (or if he be a teacher, I ordain you to be a teacher) to preach repentance and remission of sins through Jesus Christ, by the endurance of faith on his name to the end. Amen.

I can do all that I do in His name.

This I Know: Forward

I can always make progress, no matter how small. Always.

Daily Ponderings: After They Had Prayed

Moroni 3:2

After they had prayed unto the Father in the name of Christ, they laid their hands upon them, and said:

I should ask for what I want.

This I Know: Affection

I can be affectionate to my wife. Every moment is an opportunity.

I should try to be a blessing to those I come in contact with. He can help me know how if I ask.

I should act so as to be mistaken for Him

Moroni 2:1

The words of Christ, which he spake unto his disciples, the twelve whom he had chosen, as he laid his hands upon them

I should take care of the things I have chosen. He can show me how if I ask.

Bless You With Peace

Peace is always a possible choice

Called, Chosen, and Faithful

To be with Him in the second coming, I have to call myself, choose myself, and exercise faith by following empowering beliefs.

Second Coming

When He was here, there was someone on Earth who was unfailingly kind. When I am unfailingly kind, then He has come again.

Joyful Days

"...our joyful days, when there is sunshine in the sky..."

When things are going well, I should anchor that feeling. This is what the act of praying in gratitude does.

Time

This I Know: Recovery

Temporary setbacks are only temporary. I can choose to start moving forward again.

Daily Ponderings: Perhaps They May Be of Worth

Moroni 1:4

Wherefore, I write a few more things, contrary to that which I had supposed; for I had supposed not to have written any more; but I write a few more things, that perhaps they may be of worth unto my brethren, the Lamanites, in some future day, according to the will of the Lord.

I should focus on things which may be of worth

This I Know: Time

If I act, there will be time.

Daily Ponderings: Mine Own Life

Moroni 1:3

And I, Moroni, will not deny the Christ; wherefore, I wander whithersoever I can for the safety of mine own life.

My life is precious to Him, and He will help me to live happily if I ask.

This I Know: Better

I can take the time to make my life better.

Daily Ponderings: Will Not Deny the Christ

Moroni 1:2

For behold, their wars are exceedingly fierce among themselves; and because of their hatred they put to death every Nephite that will not deny the Christ.

He is the "anchor" of my soul.

Power

When I'm not acting out of fear or anger or sadness, life is much better.

It takes power to redirect and modulate emotional energy.

That's what His power allows me to do - transmute limiting emotions into the peace that allows me to make empowering decisions

This is how power creates godliness.

This I Know: Feelings

I get to choose my own. If it's not useful, I don't have to keep it. I can always replace it with peace.

Daily Ponderings: I Am Saved in the Kingdom of God

Ether 15:34

Now the last words which are written by Ether are these: Whether the Lord will that I be translated, or that I suffer the will of the Lord in the flesh, it mattereth not, if it so be that I am saved in the kingdom of God. Amen.

No matter what, His way is a better way to live. He will help me if I ask.

This I Know: Peace in Chaos

It doesn't have to be peaceful for me to find peace.

Daily Ponderings: On the Morrow

Ether 15:23

And on the morrow they fought again; and when the night came they had all fallen by the sword save it were fifty and two of the people of Coriantumr, and sixty and nine of the people of Shiz.

In the morning, I should fee my mind with empowering thoughts and all the Spirit to strengthen me. I should allow myself to feel powerful and confident.

Daily Ponderings: They Did Gather

Ether 15:12

And it came to pass that they did gather together all the people upon all the face of the land, who had not been slain, save it was Ether.

I should spend time with people who are of like mind.

Daily Ponderings: Should Not Pursue

Ether 14:31

Now the loss of men, women and children on both sides was so great that Shiz commanded his people that they should not pursue the armies of Coriantumr; wherefore, they returned to their camp.

There are things that are not worth pursuing. I dhold let them go. He can help me if I ask.

This I Know: Grace

Things can work out without me having to force it.

Daily Ponderings: Great and Lasting

Ether 14:21

And so great and lasting had been the war, and so long had been the scene of bloodshed and carnage, that the whole face of the land was covered with the bodies of the dead.

I should keep my attention focused on those things that are great and lasting. He can help me if I ask.

This I Know: Sleep

I can always sleep later.

Daily Ponderings: Came up unto the Land

Ether 14:11

And it came to pass that in the first year of Lib, Coriantumr came up unto the land of Moron, and gave battle unto Lib.

There is a place I need to go. He can help me get there if I ask.

This I Know: Time

Whatever time I have can be enough.

Daily Ponderings: Did Not Go to Battle

Ether 13:31

And Shared wounded Coriantumr in his thigh, that he did not go to battle again for the space of two years, in which time all the people upon the face of the land were shedding blood, and there was none to restrain them.

I can avoid contention

Remember Him

If I am thinking of Him as something good & powerful, that strengthens my anchor, and helps me get more leverage on myself, so that I can more easily find his peace and engage empowering beliefs to enable me to take meaningful action in the face of an uncertain outcome.

Peace Can Happen Now

Sacrifice the comfortable, familiar feelings of anger, fear, and sadness, let His peace fill me, in spite of the adversary's objections that I have to do or feel something else first.

Following Jesus Christ

Means acknowledging the truth: which is that I can let His peace fill me and act on empowering beliefs

Spiritual Sacrifices

The things I need to sacrifice are anger, fear, and sadness.

The Lesson

Is the lesson "you can't always get what you want", or "pray, and don't give up"?

Going to Church

I'm going to worship my Savior and partake of a holy ordinance.

Decision or Mood?

I should ask myself if I'm making a decision or just indulging a mood

Repent

...for times I let my mood - instead of my decisions - control my actions.

Hope

Is the belief that it's possible to change disempowering emotions into empowering action.

This I Know: Being Willing

If I'm willing, he will help me.

Daily Ponderings: See the Fulfilling of the Prophesies

Ether 13:21

Otherwise they should be destroyed, and all his household save it were himself. And he should only live to see the fulfilling of the prophecies which had been spoken concerning another people receiving the land for their inheritance; and Coriantumr should receive a burial by them; and every soul should be destroyed save it were Coriantumr.

He can help me reach my goals if I ask.

Daily Ponderings: Blessed Are They

Ether 13:11

And then also cometh the Jerusalem of old; and the inhabitants thereof, blessed are they, for they have been washed in the blood of the Lamb; and they are they who were scattered and gathered in from the four quarters of the earth, and from the north countries, and are partakers of the fulfilling of the covenant which God made with their father, Abraham.

My life is blessed. Help can help me see how if I ask.

Peace Comes

The precursor to all empowering beliefs. Once I have peace, I can do anything with His help.

Building Faith

"We build [faith] through prayer, temple covenants, keeping the commandments, continually feasting on the scriptures and the words of modern-day prophets, taking the sacrament, serving others, and worshipping weekly..."

All these things involve remembering Him, which allows me to feel the Spirit, which gives me the strength to act on empowering beliefs.

Faith Manages

"Our victory comes through faith in Jesus Christ as we triumph over our sins, difficulties, temptations, unfairness, and the challenges of this mortal life."

Faith is empowering beliefs that help me manage my disempowering emotions in adverse circumstances. They help me take action. Action is the only way out of adverse circumstances.

This I Know: Inspiration

If I ask questions, I get answers.

Daily Ponderings: To Seek This Jesus

Ether 12:41

And now, I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, that the grace of God the Father, and also the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of them, may be and abide in you forever. Amen.

I can become more like Him hour by hour, day by day. He will help me if I ask.

This I Know: Time

He can help me find enough time to do all things if I ask.

Daily Ponderings: Come Unto Me

Ether 12:27

And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

I should come unto Him any time weariness makes me reluctant. He will help me if I ask.

Daily Ponderings: It Was the Faith

Ether 12:14

Behold, it was the faith of Nephi and Lehi that wrought the change upon the Lamanites, that they were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost.

I should embrace empowering beliefs all day long. He can help me stay focused on them if I ask.

This I Know: Take It

When I have to opportunity to be close to my wife, I should take it.

Daily Ponderings: Get Power

Ether 11:15

And it came to pass that there arose a rebellion among the people, because of that secret combination which was built up to get power and gain; and there arose a mighty man among them in iniquity, and gave battle unto Moron, in which he did overthrow the half of the kingdom; and he did maintain the half of the kingdom for many years.

If I need power to live better, he will give it to me if I ask.

This I Know: Warmth

If I offer warmth, I will receive warmth.

Daily Ponderings: Have Mercy on Them

Ether 11:8

And the people began to repent of their iniquity; and inasmuch as they did the Lord did have mercy on them.

I should be kind and merciful to those around me who are struggling. Which is everyone

This I Know: Asking

If I don't ask, I'll never get told yes.

Daily Ponderings: Prevail Against Them

Ether 10:34

Now Com did fight against them much; nevertheless, he did not prevail against them.

I can win any battle if I ask for His help.

This I Know: Rest

Any experience can be restful if I approach it with the right attitude. Resistance is draining. Acceptance is energizing.

Daily Ponderings: All Manner of Fine Work

Ether 10:23

And they did work in all manner of ore, and they did make gold, and silver, and iron, and brass, and all manner of metals; and they did dig it out of the earth; wherefore, they did cast up mighty heaps of earth to get ore, of gold, and of silver, and of iron, and of copper. And they did work all manner of fine work.

My work can be fine work. He can help me make it so if I ask.

This I Know: Not Helpful

Ruminating on a problem is not helpful. Ruminating on what I'd like to do instead of having that problem IS helpful.

Daily Ponderings: Things Which Had Been Restored

Ether 10:12

And it came to pass that Morianton built up many cities, and the people became exceedingly rich under his reign, both in buildings, and in gold and silver, and in raising grain, and in flocks, and herds, and such things which had been restored unto them.

If I lose a good thing, He can help me get it back if I ask.

This I Know: Clean

There's always time to get clean

Daily Ponderings: There Began to Be Fruit

Ether 9:35

And it came to pass that when they had humbled themselves sufficiently before the Lord he did send rain upon the face of the earth; and the people began to revive again, and there began to be fruit in the north countries, and in all the countries round about. And the Lord did show forth his power unto them in preserving them from famine.

When I do the right thing, he can bless me with what I need.

This I Know: Candy Corn

I can make what I need out of the things that I have.

Daily Ponderings: Did Administer That Which Was Good

Ether 9:23

And it came to pass that Coriantum did walk in the steps of his father, and did build many mighty cities, and did administer that which was good unto his people in all his days. And it came to pass that he had no children even until he was exceedingly old.

I should administer good everywhere I am. He can help me know how if I ask.
